The law must be respected even in the case of work-related needs to support a family for those under house arrest.
You cannot leave your home without permission from a judge, even to go to work.
And so after the prisoner under house arrest who escapes to work as a pizza chef, the Carabinieri of the Caivano station discovered and had to arrest the prisoner bricklayer.
As per daily routine, the Carabinieri of the Qualiano station knocked on Luigi Di Somma's door to verify that he was respecting the measure. His wife opened the door.
The husband is out of the house, at the doctor's for an injection. Not having any authorization, the military immediately started the search. It took them little to find him, just a few minutes and a "walk" of a few meters.
Di Somma was tracked down not far away but on a construction site, while he was working as a bricklayer. Obviously “under the table”. Wearing safety gloves, holding a drill, and wearing a dusty overall, the 55-year-old from Qualiano ended up in handcuffs despite his excuses and justifications.
He needed money and couldn't afford to stay at home doing nothing.
The 55-year-old was placed under house arrest once again, pending the opportunity to tell the judge his version of events.
