A wide-ranging service for the Carabinieri of the Bagnoli company who combed the streets of the Traiano district.

Found – inside a perimeter wall of a residential complex on Via Catone – an envelope containing 337 grams of hashish, 300 grams of marijuana, 84 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of “tusi” (the so-called “pink cocaine”). Also in the envelope was the sum of 540 euros.

Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the operational unit aimed at identifying those responsible.

Sold at 400 euros per dose, 2C-B (or 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxy-phenylethylamine) was synthesized by Alexander Shulgin in 1974 and is a psychoactive substance with strong psychedelic effects. It was initially marketed as an aphrodisiac drug and was also used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, but due to its psychoactive effects it was decided to withdraw it from the market.
Unfortunately, the substance began to be used for other purposes and became a narcotic in all respects, taken orally or by inhalation. In some circles it is called “2C” or “Tusì”, a name derived from its alleged creator. It is also called pink cocaine because of its color.

Its high cost, we are talking about 400 euros per dose, has made it a drug for the rich only. Suffice it to say that the "2C" was also mentioned in the investigation that sees the entrepreneur Alberto Genovese as a suspect.

Pink cocaine is a laboratory product. Many of its effects are known while others have yet to be discovered. Being a psychoactive substance it can cause hallucinations and visions, but not only. After an initial moment of euphoria, it quickly passes to agitation, tremors and even real panic attacks.
