Colonel Christian Angelillo, a leader of exceptional competence and dedication, is preparing to embark on a new and significant chapter in his military career, assuming the direction of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Latina
At the end of the prestigious assignment at the head of the Operations Department of the Provincial Command of Napoli, the beating investigative heart of the Neapolitan Carabinieri, Colonel Angelillo will continue his path, ready to face new challenges.
During his 3 years of command, the high-ranking officer has received the praise of the community and his collaborators, coordinating delicate investigations into organized crime, in close synergy with the investigating prosecutors of the territory. Great effort has been made in the capture of fugitives: he is credited with having affirmed the importance of web patrolling, an activity that has yielded extraordinary results in the identification of those to be captured who have escaped the clutches of the law.
The colonel has a long career in the Carabinieri.
Before leading the Neapolitan Operations Department, from 2016 to 2020, he held the position of Head of the 3rd Section of the “Organized Crime” Office of the General Command. In this role, he coordinated international police cooperation in the field of terrorism, serious crimes and organized crime, demonstrating an extraordinary ability to manage complex operations.
From September 2008 to September 2012, Colonel Angelillo was the Commander of the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri Group of Castello di Cisterna, with jurisdiction over the northern area of the Province of Naples.
Even before that, he held the role of Section Commander of the Radiomobile Unit (Emergency Response) of the Provincial Command of Naples and then the Organized Crime and Asset Investigations Section of the Operational Unit of the Provincial Command of Naples. Two experiences that have guaranteed him crucial skills in the fight against organized crime.
And he also led the Carabinieri Company of Palermo San Lorenzo, demonstrating his versatility in managing different operational realities.
His educational background is equally remarkable. He attended the Nunziatella Military School in Naples and the Military Academy in Modena, demonstrating exceptional commitment from his formative days. He earned a degree in Law from the University “Sapienza” in Rome with top marks and honors.
Subsequently, he obtained degrees in Security Science and Internal and External Security Science from the University “Tor Vergata” in Rome, as well as a degree in Political Science from the University of Trieste. This solid academic background has provided him with a multidisciplinary basis to address the complex challenges of his work.
Angelillo has also attended numerous specialized training courses, including Criminal Analysis, the Investigative Unit Commander Course, and the Counter Transnational Organized Crime Course at the George Marshall Center in Germany. His constant pursuit of professional excellence led him to earn a Master's Degree in International Humanitarian Law and Armed Conflicts at the Centro Alti Studi della Difesa.
His dedication to public service extends to the education of others, with periods of teaching at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples and participation in international courses on international police cooperation.
