Great participation, in Naples, at the funeral of Giovanbattista Cutolo, the 24-year-old killed at dawn on August 31 in Piazza Municipio.

The rite, which will begin at 15:XNUMX pm, will be celebrated by the Archbishop of Naples, Monsignor Domenico Battaglia.

A long round of applause accompanied the arrival of the white coffin in the church of Gesù Nuovo, where several authorities were present, from the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi to the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, and, again, the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, the president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, the vice president of the Chamber Sergio Costa.

There were many friends and acquaintances of the young musician of the Orchestra Scarlatto Young, whom everyone called Giogiò, as well as ordinary citizens and well-known faces from the world of music and culture and the boy's parents, Franco Cutolo and Daniela Di Maggio.

The latter, during the funeral chapel, gave a long embrace to the mayor of Naples who for today has proclaimed a day of mourning. Many people are also gathered outside the church and will follow the funeral rite from a giant screen installed in Piazza del Gesù.

Before the funeral began, Giogiò's colleagues dedicated a musical tribute to their friend. Giovanbattista's sister read a letter addressed to her brother. In her conclusions, she wrote that Naples "is not Gomorra, it is not Mare fuori, it is not Il boss delle cerimonie".
