Inside the Courtyard of Honour of the Barracks named after V. Brig. MOVM Salvo D'Acquisto, headquarters of the Carabinieri Legion Command "Campania", a ceremony took place to award honours and commendations to eight members of the force who particularly distinguished themselves in carrying out their institutional duties.
The awards were presented by CA General Antonio De Vita, at the head of the Interregional Carabinieri Command "Ogaden", accompanied by Division General Antonio Jannece, Commander of the "Campania" Legion. Present at the event were the Provincial Commanders of Naples, Salerno, Avellino and Benevento, of the Groups of Naples, Castello di Cisterna, Torre Annunziata and Aversa as well as a delegation of the military and ANC representatives, together with family and friends of the awardees.
General De Vita expressed his great appreciation for the meritorious activity of the rewarded soldiers who carried out, with a spirit of sacrifice, abnegation and high skills, complex and articulated investigations to effectively combat criminal phenomena in the territory.
They are only a representation of the Carabinieri of all ranks and levels who every day devote themselves to the various service activities and the High Officer took the opportunity to express his warmest thanks to all of them who, in their daily actions, contribute to helping and protecting the population.
The work of the Carabiniere, he reiterated, is a service to others, to be always carried out with passion, professionalism and altruism, also to strengthen citizens' trust in the State.
At the end of the ceremony, General De Vita visited the Shrine to the Fallen, the Situation Room and the various offices and rooms located within the Command.
