A large fire has broken out in Naples, in the Monte Sant'Angelo area, behind the San Paolo Park, in the Fuorigrotta district.
Fear for residents. The flames have licked some homes. About ten families have left their homes, some have gone away voluntarily, others have been evacuated as a precaution.
Several residents have reported significant delays in the intervention on site by the Fire Department. “A terrifying fire is affecting – declares the deputy of the Green Left Alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli who is in contact with the citizens and is asking for air intervention to put out the fire – Via Vicinale Volo Sant'Angelo in Fuorigrotta.
Citizens have been forced to flee their homes and some roads are impassable. The Fire Department is intervening. They are trying to understand if the fire was started maliciously, if so it would be very serious.
It is not the first time that the area has been hit by these events and people are worried about their homes and the possibility of subsequent problems of hydrogeological instability. I have asked Arpac to monitor the air”.
