While doctors and emergency workers in Naples protested against attacks on healthcare workers by wearing black armbands, a 118 nurse was beaten in the Ponticelli neighborhood.
This was reported by the Nessuno tocchi Ippocrate association, which organized today's demonstration together with the Fp Cgil Campania, with workers protesting in front of the city's main emergency rooms.

At 118:10.15 a.m., the Ponticelli 4 emergency service was alerted to Via Benedetto Cairoli for a male patient suffering from psychomotor agitation. Despite the presence of law enforcement officers, including four patrol cars, on the scene, the patient managed to punch the nurse, knocking him out. This is the 47th assault in the ASL Napoli 1 area since the beginning of the year.
"The state must take action! While we were on duty at the main hospitals of the ASL Napoli 1 and ASL Napoli 2, one of our fellow nurses was attacked by a patient who showed no mercy! Sooner or later, we'll all leave; we'll all take action.", comments Manuel Ruggiero, president of NtI.
