The Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, received this morning in his office Daniela Di Maggio, mother of Giovanbattista Cutolo, the 24-year-old boy killed in Naples during the night between August 30 and 31.
A long and moving meeting, according to a statement from the ministry, during which the woman expressed, in addition to her unsuppressible grief, her bitterness over legislation she considers insufficient to protect people who, like her son, are "good and virtuous."
The Minister of Justice attentively accepted the invitations of "Giogio's" mother, starting with a legislative initiative dedicated to Giovanbattista. Minister Nordio bid farewell to Daniela Di Maggio with the most earnest assurance of further meetings in the future. On September 7, Daniela Di Maggio met with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
