The Naples Flying Squad and the “Poggioreale” Police Station executed an order this morning to apply the precautionary measure of placement in the Juvenile Penal Institute of Nisida against a sixteen-year-old.
The boy is suspected of having committed the crimes of attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery and illegal possession of a firearm in a public place.
Last July, together with an accomplice who has not yet been identified, he allegedly tried to steal a scooter from a boy in via Gianturco, threatening him with a gun. Unable to do so due to the victim's reaction, he allegedly hit the other man's helmet with the butt of the gun and then stole two cell phones and 600 euros in cash.
Thanks to the analysis of the footage from the public and private video surveillance systems present at the crime scene and along the criminals' escape route, the police recognized the minor as the driver of the motorcycle used to commit the crime, which turned out to be stolen.
These clues were confirmed by the search of the sixteen-year-old's house, during which clothes were found that perfectly matched those visible in the images.
