In Naples, health workers are once again victims of criminals. This morning a theft was committed inside a 118 ambulance while the operators were helping a young woman.
The association “Nessuno tocchi Ippocrate” reports the news on its Facebook page: "This morning at 6:00 am an ambulance from 118 Naples (Piazza Municipio station) was alerted for a young girl in a state of alcoholic intoxication in Via Toledo in Napoli.
As usual, the crew goes out into the street to help the patient a few meters from the rescue vehicle... once the rescue driver returns to the driving seat, he makes the bitter discovery: someone had stolen his personal backpack.
At this moment the crew is at the police station on Via Medina to file a formal complaint.

Our appeal to the "crook" on duty: "bring the backpack with its contents to the police station in Via Medina by today, since you have not found any valuables inside, but only documents essential to a worker whose only crime is -helping others-!"
PS: The emergency driver won't be able to return home after 12 hours of work because the car keys were in his backpack!
“This is yet another shameful episode that we condemn without any ifs or buts,” commented Francesco Emilio Borrelli, MP for the Green-Left alliance. “Stealing is already shameful in itself, but doing it to those who are working hard to save human lives is the work of an outcast.
We hope that the thief will soon be identified and severely punished, to set an example. Our total and most sincere solidarity goes to the health personnel.”
