The residents of via Santa Caterina da Siena are held hostage by a person who, regardless of the restrictions, parks his car in an illegal parking lot, blocking the exit of the University building Sister Orsola Benincasa and forcing pedestrians to step off the sidewalk and walk onto the roadway to get past the obstacle.

Because of this behavior, the caretaker of the Suor Orsola building often gets stuck inside the building. It is not the first time that at the end of the night shift he finds his way blocked by the same car.

The resulting commotion keeps local residents awake from the crack of dawn.

The incident was reported to the Municipal Police several times, who this time intervened and removed the vehicle thanks to the intervention of a tow truck.

“We need a severe punishment for those who adopt behaviors that are both uncivilized and dangerous. Removal alone is not enough, these people should have their cars seized for a long period of time, only then will they be able to understand the gravity of the actions they commit.

I have long been calling for an iron fist to be used against such attitudes, a request that has been promptly ignored. Unfortunately, there is a widespread and rampant sense of impunity that creates emulation; if we continue with a soft line, our streets will soon turn into a jungle without rules, where everyone will feel entitled to do what they want and the law of the strongest will prevail. I will never give up on all this”. Thus Francesco Emilio Borrelli, deputy of the Alleanza Verdi-Sinistra.
