A bag was abandoned in a taxi by a man who fled during checks.

The baggage was seized at Naples and inside it were found approximately 7 kilos of narcotic substance.

The operation was carried out by the Tourist Mobility unit of the Naples local police during checks on taxis operating in the area of ​​the Piazza Garibaldi railway station.

When the officers asked a taxi that was driving around the intersection of Piazza Garibaldi and Corso Novara to stop to check on him, a non-EU citizen got out of the car and quickly walked away without leaving a trace.

The police checked the luggage the man had left in the car and discovered that it contained approximately 7 kilos of cannabinoids.

The Public Prosecutor on duty was informed of the facts and investigations are underway, which include viewing the cameras present in the area, to identify the person who was transporting the drugs.
