After the success of the summer session, the pine forest of the Teatro dei Piccoli of the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples will resume the events of the “Open Air” series dedicated to children (aged 3 and up) and young people and their families.
12 days of theater and music with many creative laboratory activities to accompany the first days of autumn while still enjoying the equipped spaces of the maritime pine park adjacent to the theater.
The initiative, organized by Le Nuvole/Casa del Contemporaneo, I Teatrini, Progetto Sonora, resident companies of the Teatro dei Piccoli, adheres to the project “Campania è” and is realized in agreement with the Municipality of Naples and the management of the Mostra d'Oltremare.
We return to the stage on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September – starting at 17pm – with POLLICINO, a multisensory listening performance (for everyone, aged 9 and over) of Perrault's fairy tale of the same name accompanied by an artistic-performative workshop (total duration 2 hours) curated by Casa del Contemporaneo.
An experience that begins with the workshop conducted by Cristina Morra “The invisible to the eyes” where the imagination will be pushed to a perception capable of involving all the senses. Each participant, child or adult, will not only be a spectator but also a director, set designer, costume designer of this story that will exist in the materialization that each will be able to give to it in their own mind.
“Words, sounds, music and then the rustling of the treetops will act as a sounding board for the narrated events that through listening and imagination will make you cross the threshold of the world of fantasy” – report Enrico De Capoa and Riccardo Cominotto, authors of the site-specific installation.
The show continues on Saturday 16 September with the Compagnia degli Sbuffi bringing HANSEL AND GRETEL AND THE HOUSE TO EAT to the stage, while on Sunday 17 September (and again on Saturday 30 September at 17 pm) the stage comes alive with the puppet show PULCINELLA CHE PASSIONE by Le Nuvole/Casa del Contemporaneo.
The selection of titles chosen for the festival continues with successful productions by guest companies from all over Italy, an example of which is the double appointment of Nata Teatro on Saturday 23 September with the show IL SOLDATINO DI TIN and Sunday 24 September with PIERINO IN BLUES.
The month of October – in which the programming of events is brought forward to the morning at 11.30 – opens on Sunday 1st with the first of the laboratory concerts for children by Progetto Sonora dedicated to “AUTUMN”, the following weekend, Saturday 7th October, it is the turn of LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD by the Caserta company La Mansarda, while on Sunday 8th October there is the interactive concert for children “MARI E MONTI” also by Progetto Sonora.
