L'North Macedonia striker, Ilya Nestorovsky, he has been moving between Serie A and Serie B for 7 years. On the challenge against the Azzurri he warns: “We are in the same situation as Palermo…”
He is in retreat with his teammates, waiting for what for him cannot be a match like any other. “I have been living and playing in Italy since 2016. First Palermo, then Udine, now Ascoli. This challenge is special for me. Italy has given me so much, both as a human being and as a footballer. But now I just have to think about trying to win”, says Ilja Nestorovski, striker of the Macedonian national team.
After a summer marked by a change of technical leadership, Italy restarts with the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The first match with Luciano Spalletti at the helm of the national team is on the field of Northern Macedonia, a team that the Azzurri have beaten only once in the last three head-to-head matches, with the indelible stain of the 0-1 defeat which, in March 2022, forced Italy to miss a World Cup for the second consecutive time.
For Italy the dangers come from Nestorovski and Elmas
But, according to William Hill experts, Italy is expected to win in Skopje, quoted at 1,33, while the "1" sign rises to 10; a draw, instead, is at 4,75. Analysts see a certain balance between the Over, at 1,80, and the Under, at 1,90, while No Goal is clearly favored over the Goal, respectively at 1,60 and 2,25. Consequently, among the exact results, 0-2 stands out at 5,50 and 0-1 at 6, followed by 0-3 at 7,50. As for the scorers, eyes are on Ciro Immobile: a goal from the new captain of the national team is played at 2,20, followed by 2,30 from Mateo Retegui.
The biggest dangers for North Macedonia, however, are two who know Italian football very well, namely Ilija Nestorovski of Ascoli at 6,50 and Eljif Diamond of Naples at 7.
