The final of the contest reserved for female singer-songwriters will take place in Aversa on October 27th and 28th.

Nina Zilli will be the patroness of the 19th "Premio Bianca d'Aponte," the contest reserved for female singer-songwriters that has become a staple of the Italian music scene.

She will be responsible for presiding over the jury for this new edition, scheduled to take place at the Cimarosa Theater in Aversa (CE) on October 27 and 28, 2023, and for singing a song by Bianca d'Aponte, the singer-songwriter to whom the Award is dedicated.

The Bianca d'Aponte Award is organized by the Bianca d'Aponte Association under the artistic direction of Ferruccio Spinetti and is also supported by SIAE - Italian Society of Authors and Publishers and NuovoImaie.

The event will also see several prestigious guests on stage, who will be announced soon, while this year's finalists are Ilaria Argiolas (Rome), Arianna Battilana of Mockingjay (Varese), Irene Buselli (Genoa), Cristina Cafiero (Naples), Veronica Di Nocera (Caserta), Francesca Giannizzari (Potenza), Chiara Ianniciello (Salerno), Ophelia Lia (Biella), Alessandra Nazzaro (Naples), Santanna (L'Aquila).

They were selected, in a month and a half of work, by the Award Guarantee Committee, made up of dozens of producers, record producers, managers, singers, authors, musicians, journalists among the most accredited in the Italian music world.

Many of the Committee members will also serve on the two juries, the general and the critics' juries, which will award prizes during the final evenings. The overall winner will receive a scholarship of €800, while the winner of the "Fausto Mesolella" Critics' Award (in honor of the festival's longtime artistic director) will receive €XNUMX. The general jury will also award honorable mentions for best text (this year dedicated to Oscar Avogadro), best music, and best performance.

As every year, there will also be several other prizes and bonuses proposed by individual jury members or by organizations and associations close to d'Aponte, such as concerts, participation in other festivals, production and publishing of songs, video production, legal and managerial assistance, and artistic collaborations. Among the various bonuses, a new one is the opportunity for the winner to participate as a guest in the 2024 edition of Music for Change, organized by Musica contro le Mafie.
