Reopens to the public on Minopoli Park, ex Gasometro. The inauguration will be held on Friday 15 September at 10:00 in the presence of the mayor Gaetano Manfredi. The redevelopment works of the former industrial site of the Gasometer located between Viale Raffaello and Salita Cacciottoli have returned to the enjoyment of citizens an area that had been closed for more than twenty years, transforming it into an agricultural-educational park with urban gardens and orchards that will see the active involvement of citizens and associations in their management.
The fifteen hectares of green area Napoli they have been equipped with about thirty concentric vegetable gardens that will be assigned to the citizens, a Phlegraean vegetable garden - arboretum, various pedestrian paths, a cavea with about one hundred seats and play areas that will be used to host games for all the little ones.
“The recovery of the park, saved thanks to the commitment of citizens and some associations from the speculative attempt to build a car park way back in 1999, represents for everyone a historic turning point achieved thanks to the efforts of the Administration Manfredi", announced the Councilor for Green Vincent Santagada, which celebrates the conclusion of the works as “the end of a bureaucratic odyssey that prevented the community from benefiting from this asset.”
