Evidently, the 55-year-old stationer from Parete arrested yesterday by the Carabinieri of the local station did not only sell books and stationery.
In his commercial establishment the military found and seized marijuana, hashish, precision scales and material suitable for packaging.
The raid took place shortly after the store opened when the Carabinieri, with the help of canine units, swooped in on the stationery shop to carry out a search as part of a service aimed at combating, preventing and repressing drug trafficking.
As soon as they entered, the unmistakable pungent, aromatic and particularly penetrating odor of marijuana did not escape the attention of the police and the drug-sniffing dog, which prompted them to carry out a thorough search which yielded a positive outcome.
