Everyone is unhappy with the new paid parking plan in Giugliano that will start next Monday. The parking spaces allocated to scooters are missing. At the moment, in a city of 120 thousand inhabitants, there are only a few reserved spaces for two-wheeled vehicles between Corso Campano (near the Town Hall) and Via San Rocco.

In all the other streets there are none and therefore those who move with a two-wheeled vehicle do not know if they will be able to park in the blue spaces. In the meantime, while waiting for the plan to become operational (the start was already scheduled for last Monday but has been postponed by a week) the controversy over the expected cost does not subside, especially in the central areas.

It is 1,5 per hour. However, some signs indicate that from the second hour onwards it should be two, but this is denied by sources in the Municipality. Shopkeepers are also up in arms: at the moment there is no provision for parking for the cars of either shopkeepers or their employees, who, for a working day, should pay a cost of around 15 euros (for the centre area) and 10 for the other two areas, where the rate is one euro for each hour of parking. Residents are also unhappy about the lack of spaces dedicated to them in some streets. There is the possibility of signing up for a subscription at an annual cost of 30 euros, but in some streets (such as via Pirozzi) there are no reserved spaces and those who want to park near their homes must pay the ordinary rate.
