The shooting starts again in Piazza Sanità Napoli like on that cursed night of September 6, 2005 when the innocent Genny Cesarano was killed.
Last night, a 20-year-old boy was shot in the arm. It was just a coincidence that there was no new tragedy like that night eight years ago.
The news was spread by Fabio Greco and Ciro Guida, respectively president and vice president of the Third Municipality Stella San Carlo Arena.
“There is a need to intervene urgently, we have been asking for many days with written notes a table in the prefecture as Municipality 3 Stella San Carlo All'Arena because we are sentinels in the neighborhood”, they explain in a note.
And then they add: “We need to be heard, we can no longer wait, there is a need for attention and presence of the State, we have been asking for prevention interventions for a long time, and we were right to ask for prevention, this night we risked a high victim.
The Neighborhood asks for attention, the Neighborhood has been working for years to improve itself, the Neighborhood needs state support, we trust and are certain that in the next few days there will be meetings and proposals for solutions in this regard".
On September 5th, Greco and Guida had sent a report to the police station San Carlo Arena Police and at the station of carabinieri star in which there were reports of night-time shootings near the Sanità lift but also of muggings and episodes of intimidation of passers-by and shopkeepers.
“Given the great historical moment that our neighborhood is experiencing, of great cultural and touristic ferment, we are concerned that the public order situation could interrupt a work, which also on your part, has been carried out for several years with commitment and enormous dedication”.
