The Archaeological Park of Pompeii is designed for vulnerable children, thanks to the direction of the cooperative il Tulipano, which for years has developed activities for the social and work inclusion of people with cognitive disabilities.
With the welcome of the young people of the Pianeta Down odv association of Pescara, the inclusive educational proposals dedicated to children with cognitive disabilities were launched, an experience that expands the cultural offering of the Archaeological Park with the aim of a fruition that is truly for everyone and with everyone. Thanks to the use of the visual agenda, designed by Tulipano in collaboration with the Federico II University, the children of Pianeta Down were able to make an interactive visit to the "Casa del Menandro" and then reach "Casa di Pansa", home of the nursery of the Archaeological Park where 'I Ragazzi di Plinio' illustrated their social agriculture activities carried out there for over a year.
“A memorable day, an emotional moment in which our kids felt like protagonists. They welcomed and accompanied their friends from Pescara with the tools and skills acquired over years of work and commitment. Together we took a journey to the Casa del Menandro, thanks to the visual agenda 'Pompei in Blu', and then to the nursery of the Casa di Pansa. The message we want to start from Pompeii and spread throughout the country is that culture is an extraordinary tool for inclusion that can break down every barrier and that can offer real job opportunities”, Giovanni Minucci, head of the social cooperative Il Tulipano, said this.
