The officers of the Pozzuoli police station, during the territorial control service, checked, in via Vicinale Canosa, in Monteruscello, a man driving a luxury car.
The man showed them an identification document issued by Serbian authorities, according to which he had never been checked before.
The officers, suspicious, carried out further checks and found that the 32-year-old Serbian, under two different identities, had two prison sentences pending.
Specifically, the man was the recipient of a prison order issued on August 12, 2022 by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Nocera Inferiore - Criminal Enforcement Office - according to which the man will have to serve a sentence of 3 years, 3 months and 3 days in prison for attempted aggravated theft in competition committed in Scafati in 2010 and pay a fine of 1200 euros.
But he was also the recipient, under another name, of a provision determining concurrent sentences, issued on 28 October 2013 by the Public Prosecutor's Office for Minors of Naples - Penal Enforcement Office.
From this second provision it emerged that he will have to serve a sentence of 4 years, 10 months and 16 days of imprisonment for the crimes of receiving stolen goods in competition, attempted theft in competition, aggravated theft and incitement to corruption, committed in Napoli, in San Nicola la Strada and in Arzano between 2007 and 2010 and provide for the payment of a fine of 1200 euros.
