The Carabinieri of the Casoria company carried out a wide-ranging operation in Afragola.
The controls focused on the Salicelle district where the military identified 106 people and checked 85 vehicles, including cars and scooters.
Several searches led to the carabinieri finding and seizing 75 cartridges and a holster. The bullets – 4 caliber 12, 20 caliber 5.56 magnum, 1 caliber 7,62, and 50 caliber 357 – had been hidden in the common areas of the neighborhood blocks.
The Carabinieri checks will continue in the coming days, thanks to the provisions of the general command which foresees a constant presence of the police in the at-risk districts of cities such as Afragola, Caivano and Acerra have been the scene of numerous news stories in recent weeks.
