During yesterday's Operation Alto Im pact at Spanish Neighborhoods an elderly woman died of a heart attack following a house search at one of her sons' home.
And in fact there were moments of tension at the nearby Pellegrini hospital where the woman, mother of one of the subjects of the searches, had been taken, struck down by illness in the street.
The woman was at the stall where she worked as a street vendor when the investigators asked her son to follow them because they had to search her home. Shortly after, the woman felt ill.
A crowd of people gathered at the hospital, but despite the initial climate of agitation, also following the intervention of the police and the Carabinieri, no incidents were reported.
