Rhelp to Asterix Center di San Giovanni a Teduccio. Unknown people entered the Youth Centre of the Municipality of Napoli, managed by the Callysto association, and vandalized the structure, damaging furnishings and dirtying walls and rooms. The thugs also stole some computers, a television and a coffee machine.
The president of the Callysto association, Francesco Micera, filed a complaint with the local police station, handing over the images from the video surveillance cameras. "The Asterix Center is a place that for years has welcomed us and thousands of young people, not only Neapolitans, like a home. And like a home we take care of it and live it", says Micera.
Inaugurated in 2021 after renovation work, the Asterix Centre is located in the heart of San Giovanni a Teduccio, hosts social and cultural events, moments of aggregation and offers spaces for sharing and discussion especially to young people. In a short time it has become a point of reference for the territory and in recent years has hosted performances by, among others, Luca Ward, Marzo Zurzolo, Giuliana De Sio, Dario Sansone, all for free. "This raid saddens us greatly, but it does not stop us: we continue for the neighborhood and for the many citizens who are close to us every day", adds Francesco Micera.
