The Rome-Naples highway was closed for three hours due to an accident in which a truck loaded with tomato cans overturned, losing part of its cargo.
The accident occurred in the southbound lane between the Frosinone and Ceprano toll booths. The collision between a car and the truck caused the heavy vehicle to partially overturn, fortunately without consequences for the driver of the truck and the driver of the car involved.
Thanks to the timely intervention of the fire brigade teams of the provincial command of Frosinone, it was possible to reopen the stretch of the A1 in a short time. Traffic police officers and staff from the motorway company were also on site. Currently, there is an 8 km tailback.
At around 18:1 p.m., on the A632 Milan-Naples motorway, in the section between Frosinone and Ceprano in the direction of Naples, an accident that had occurred previously at kilometer XNUMX, involving a car and a heavy vehicle that lost its load of cans of tomatoes, was resolved. This was communicated by Aspi in a note.
Currently, traffic is flowing in two lanes at the accident site and there is a tailback of 11 km towards Naples. As an alternative, motorists heading to Naples are advised to exit at Ferentino, take the SS6 “Casilina” and rejoin the motorway at Ceprano.
