More attacks on penitentiary police personnel at the prison Salerno. This is what Tiziana Guacci, regional secretary for Campania of Sappe, reports.
“Around 10:30 a prisoner was on his way to the judges-lawyers room when suddenly a group of other prisoners tried to attack him – he explains in a note – the police officer in charge of the section promptly intervened to defend him and got the worst of it.
He was immediately transported to the nearby hospital where he was diagnosed with a shoulder contusion with a 30-day prognosis."
For Donato Capece, secretary general of Sappe, "this is the unacceptable daily scenario in which the penitentiary police force operates. We cannot go on like this: it is a continuous and daily drip. The prisons are in the hands of criminals".
“The management of the current head of the Dap, Giovanni Russo, is a failure – he underlines – he does practically nothing, he lives isolated from 'his' men and we don't even know what he looks like, being evidently allergic to confrontation with the unions”.
