San Gennaro, attendance boom at the San Gregorio Armeno event 'Sanghe Nuosto'

President Capuano: “Great success, but on September 30th the 'San Gregorio' award will go to maestro Peppe Barra for the 'Cantata dei Pastori'."

To acclaim the liquefaction of the Blood of San Gennaro, thousands of people attended the first edition of 'Sanghe nuosto – San Gregorio Armeno meets San Gennaro', organized by the association 'Le Botteghe di San Gregorio Armeno', below are the words of the president Vincenzo Capuano:

A few weeks ago, we organized the first edition of the San Gaetano festival in San Gregorio Armeno, and it was a huge success! Today, we repeated the event with the first edition of 'Sanghe Nuosto'.

Thanks to Gigi Lista's Locanda 'Il Seggio del Popolo', we were able to offer citizens and tourists their dishes and wine (Ciglio del Gatto) typical of our lands. I clearly thank all those present, the musicians and artists who made all this possible; I thank the director of the Quotidiano 'L'Identitario', Emilio Caserta, Media Partner of the event.

But it doesn't end here, the San Gennaro Agenda – continues President Capuano – on September 30th there will be an event in the Piazzetta del Grande Archivio for the 'San Gregorio Armeno' award, which we intend to give to Maestro Peppe Barra, because for us 'la Cantata dei Pastori' is a very important symbol of Neapolitan tradition. With this award we want to convey a message of nativity scene culture, hoping more and more for a world without the last”.
