It was just after 20.00:112 pm last night when a woman, deeply worried about her brother, called the Operations Centre of the Carabinieri Company of Santa Maria Capua Vetere via “XNUMX”.
The same woman, in a state of agitation, reported to the operator on duty that her brother had locked himself in the house with suicidal intentions and that he did not intend to open the door to let her in.
A few minutes later, the Carabinieri of the local Operations Unit and Radiomobile arrived in via Irlanda, in the Sammaritano center, where they found her waiting for them in the street. The woman reported having smelled a strong odor of gas coming out of the apartment, repeating that her brother had blocked the entrance door from the inside.
Thanks to the immediate support of the Fire Brigade, requested in the meantime by the Operations Center of the Force, the soldiers managed to reach the French window of the balcony on the first floor of the building using a telescopic ladder and, after forcing it, entered the house.
