Shopping vouchers, dinner for four, bicycles, e-bikes and even a trip to Disneyland.
In Sant'Antonio Abate, waste sorting and recycling not only improves the environment, it also pays dividends. On Saturday evening, before the "End of Summer Party," Mayor Ilaria Abagnale honored 121 virtuous citizens in Piazza della Libertà, celebrating their exceptional commitment for disposing of the largest quantities of waste at the two computerized recycling centers in the area.
The ceremony was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Abatesi Entrepreneurs Association, which donated the prizes awarded to virtuous citizens as part of the "Pongo and Tiaco – reward you for recycling" campaign, aimed specifically at the children of Sant'Antonio Abate, who are increasingly involved in civic education projects. This initiative contributed to the achievement of a significant milestone for the Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate, which is among the best recycling municipalities in Campania, having exceeded the 80% waste sorting rate.
“This initiative started by talking to my children – explains Ilaria Abagnale – and it was them who chose the two pandas as testimonials and the names Pongo and Tiaco.
