The Finance Police of the Provincial Command of Salerno arrested a 30-year-old who, stopped while driving his car, was found in possession of a modified blank-firing weapon, a folding knife with an 8 cm blade and approximately 30 grams of marijuana contained in a plastic bag.
The soldiers of the Company of Scafati, during the normal economic control service of the territory. they identified a man who was suspiciously waiting, during the night, in the surroundings of a green area used as a playground.
After inspecting the vehicle used by the subject, the patrol found the narcotic substance hidden in the front seat, in the driver's seat. A more thorough check of the vehicle revealed the presence of a pistol with 9 mm blank ammunition with the red cap evidently tampered with and a switchblade with a blade of approximately 9 cm.
The weapons and drugs were seized while the man was tried with a summary trial the following day. During the trial, the evidentiary system provided by the judicial police and the PM in charge of the investigations was shared by the Judicial Authority and the subject was sentenced to 10 months in prison and a 2.000 euro fine by the Court of Nocera Inferiore.
