A car and tire cemetery had been illegally created between Naples and Casoria.
This is an area where disused tires and car parts have been abandoned for years, located below the ramp of the external ring road that connects the northern area of Naples (the VII Municipality) with the municipalities of Casoria and Casavatore, which has been cleaned and made safe to allow its reopening soon.
That same ramp, closed for years and turned into an open-air illegal landfill, was taken care of, having it cleaned up and beginning work to reopen it thanks to the intervention of the Municipality of Naples through Councilor Cosenza, Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and Salvatore Iavarone, a councilor for the Europa Verde party in Casoria.

“Following our reports, the area was placed under seizure thanks to the intervention of the Naples PM.”- declare Borrelli and Iavarone- “Car parts, tires and other flammable materials were stored here and in fact on more than one occasion extremely risky fires were started that were harmful to the environment and public health.
It is necessary to intensify and improve prevention and monitoring activities, as well as to provide much harsher penalties, against environmental crimes and to stop the proliferation of illegal landfills scattered throughout the territory.”
