Targeted checks aimed at protecting consumer health were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Grazzanise Station together with those of the NAS of Caserta at an industrial bakery in Sessa Aurunca.
Yesterday afternoon, the military entered the production site and found that some of the baked goods, such as "freselle", packaged in plastic bags, were missing the required information regarding the origin, manufacturing process and batch coding.
On this occasion, all the packages of “freselle” present were administratively seized, for a total of 160 kg. Further checks also revealed the precarious hygienic and sanitary conditions in the bakery's baking room and the lack of documentation of the HACCP self-control manual and the related risk monitoring sheets. Further investigations are underway by the Carabinieri.
