Deep reflections, melancholy for a past that is no longer there and at the same time the strength to move forward despite suffering and disappointments.
“Solo di spalle”, the new EP by Massimo Franchini in collaboration with Sheila Rosati, is all this and more: it is weighing the life experiences of those people who do not live in the limelight, who hoped for something better, who realize that there is little time left and want to make the most of it.
“Solo di spalle” was released in the summer of 2023 by Sorridi Music, it is available on all music stores (https://album.

This time the artist also known by the pseudonym Intima Cantor composed the words and music for all the songs in the album and continued the creative partnership with his colleague Sheila Rosati, who lends her voice to some songs including the one that gives the work its name and explains to whom it is dedicated: 'To those with a suitcase in their hand, extras without close-ups, without mentions or notes in the margin, but only from behind, if anything'. In fact, Franchini has been collaborating with the writer from Lazio for years and you can listen to his arrangements in pop melodies that enrich the stories of the audiobooks written and performed by her, such as the collection "Le canzoni di Rudy" based on the novel "Galaverna".
This is also why he chose the song sung by two voices as the title of the work, it is a tribute to Sheila, one of the elegant and courteous gestures typical of another era recounted in the track “A quelli”, and a wish that that era returns, like the singer-songwriters of the 80s.

When the train finally stops, when we get off the last carriage. Soon, time is already flying by."
