Twice in the space of just three days, he allegedly entered a supermarket in Sorrento to steal bottles of liquor, which he had hidden inside a backpack so as not to be noticed at the checkout.
For this reason, at the Poggioreale prison in Naples, the Carabinieri of the Sorrento company executed a custodial order issued by the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata court at the request of the Oplontina prosecutor's office, against a 22-year-old citizen of Georgian origins.
The man is accused of two aggravated thefts that occurred on May 8 and 10. According to the investigators' reconstruction, the twenty-two-year-old entered a supermarket in Sorrento and stole bottles of liquor (for a total value of about 400 euros), going past the checkout with the goods hidden in a backpack.
The mystery would have been revealed by the images captured by the video surveillance systems in the area which, together with specific investigative activities, would have allowed the thief to be identified. The precautionary measure was notified inside the Poggioreale prison, where the man is being held for another cause.
