A video that went viral on TikTok has sparked a debate about cultural sensitivity. In the video, an Asian TikTok user, Kai, is having dinner at a restaurant in Cosenza. When he is served spaghetti with tomato sauce, Kai grabs it with his chopsticks, a gesture that seems to greatly annoy the restaurant manager.
The waiter approaches the table and says to Kai, "No, no. You're in Italy, not China. In Italy, they eat spaghetti this way." Not only that, the Italian even feeds the boy, showing him how to use a fork.
Kai, who seems to be laughing at the whole thing, comments on the video: "I was so confused."

The video has attracted mixed reactions. Some users criticized the waiter's gesture, calling it offensive and discriminatory. Others, however, defended the manager, claiming that it was an act of courtesy aimed at teaching Kai how to eat spaghetti in the Italian style.
