Specifically, as the mayor, informed of the incident by the deputy mayor and councilor for public works, Michele Polese, says, this morning the workers assigned to carry out road resurfacing work in the first part of via Scappi, not far from the highway toll booth, found the barriers torn down and thrown on piles of earth, along with other damage.
Before starting their shift, the workers had to tidy up the area. “What happened in via Scappi – concludes the mayor – is yet another episode of damage recorded where we have taken steps to restore a sense of civility and legality, in areas where the Municipality has been lacking action for too many years.
I think of the bench burned in the municipal park the day after the cleaning and weeding intervention, like the bulky waste and mattresses deposited in the streets undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment.
But I repeat, if this is the way to stop the action of our administration, then those who are acting are following the wrong path. Indeed, all this pushes us to continue along the path taken. We will file a complaint with the competent bodies in the hope that the video surveillance systems present in the area were able to capture images useful to the police”.
