Behind the great Totò, a dazzling actor and phantasmagorical artist capable of great metamorphoses, there was a world of extraordinary richness, made up of hundreds of compositions in verse and dozens of songs.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2023 – FROM 21.20:XNUMX PM – the splendid documentary “Totò and Prince De Curtis. The Man Beyond the Mask,” directed by Tommaso Cennamo and based on an idea by Enzo Decaro, will be broadcast for the first time on Rai Tre.

As the Prince's daughter, Liliana de Curtis, tells in a precious and unpublished video in which she remembers her father, Antonio De Curtis spent all his free time from work on the set in that ideal but also physical place that he carved out in each of his homes and that he liked to call "the think tank".

And it is precisely with the precious help of Liliana, the Prince's beloved daughter, that the excellent perfume company Mansfield has recreated the scents and fragrances loved by Totò: "I met Liliana in her beautiful Roman home - says an emotional Massimo Scalella of Mansfield - and she showed me a small bottle containing the residue of a French fragrance used by her father.

I asked to borrow it, I flew to France to have it analyzed by our master perfumers and we managed to recreate the fragrance of the great Totò. When Liliana smelled that fragrance, she was moved and said to me "Today dad is here with us!". It was one of the most emotional moments of my professional life and a confirmation of the power of perfume as a 'time machine' and a journey into sentimental memory".

Passion, culture, expertise make Mansfield a company that offers “olfactory emotions” enclosed in memory and ready to be rediscovered, as happened with the homage to the Prince of Laughter, Totò. In 2007, Mansfield recreated – sharing the development with the late Liliana de Curtis, daughter of Totò – the original fragrance worn by Prince Antonio de Curtis.

Today the Totò myth is celebrated with four fragrances of extraordinary depth and beauty: “Antonio de Curtis”, “Principe”, “Novecento” and “Malafemmena”, which takes its name from the title of the most famous song by the great actor and poet.
