The hamlet of Ponterutto, in the municipality of Vitulano in Campania, is isolated due to the seizure of a bridge that connects it to the town. The situation, denounced by the mayor Raffaele Scarinzi, makes it almost impossible to treat the sick and makes the daily life of citizens difficult.
In recent weeks, Scarinzi appealed to the authorities and the judiciary to resolve the situation, but to no avail. Now, residents have decided to protest by organizing a celebration, "The Ponterutto Contrada Festival," to be held on Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st.
"We are in the land of the 'Bue Apis', of hard work and of excellent food and wine.", declared Mayor Scarinzi.

I reiterate what I said previously: I won't go into the merits of assessments that are the responsibility of other bodies; I'm saying that this situation, which penalizes the most vulnerable, must be resolved quickly., concluded Scarinzi. "We risk dying of bureaucracy."
