Double control operation by the Carabinieri and the police in Vomero, a meeting place for hundreds of young people looking for fun.

The local company's soldiers checked hundreds of people, also with the help of metal detectors, essential for detecting weapons.

Maximum attention along via Scarlatti and in the central Piazza Vanvitelli where on Saturday night a large part of the city's nightlife takes place. Numerous young people were caught with drugs in their pockets. Hashish and marijuana were seized.

A 45-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were arrested for aggravated theft.

They were caught red-handed while stealing goods from a supermarket. They are now under house arrest, awaiting trial. According to the Carabinieri, the cooperation of motorcyclists and local police in traffic controls was invaluable.

There are 31 people fined, all for driving without helmet and insurance coverage. The checks will continue in the coming days.

And yesterday, as part of the services organised by the Naples Police Headquarters in the "movida" areas, the agents of the Vomero Police Station and the financial police of the Naples Provincial Command carried out checks in the Vomero neighbourhood and in particular in San Martino, in the Vanvitelli and Medaglie D'Oro squares and in the Giordano, Scarlatti and Falcone streets.

During the service, the operators identified 87 people, 11 of whom had a police record, checked 27 vehicles and reported 2 violations of the Highway Code; in addition, 7 commercial establishments were checked, issuing 5 administrative sanctions for failure to issue a receipt.
