As part of the activity to combat the phenomenon of illegal building, which is one of the priorities of the Public Prosecutor's Office, in execution of a demolition order issued by the Court of Torre Annunziata, Gragnano branch, a structure consisting of a shed of approximately 40 square meters, infilled with lapilcemento walls of approximately 1,20 meters in height, used as an animal shelter, was demolished.
The demolished building stood in the municipality of Agerola on Viale Della Vittoria and the area on which the illegal work had been built, namely the building used as a "stable", is included: a) in the PUT of the Sorrento-Amalfi Area pursuant to Regional Law no. 1, in "Territorial Zone S - 35nd degree settlement and environmental redevelopment"; b) in the current PRG, adapted to the PUT of the Sorrento-Amalfi Area pursuant to Regional Law 2/1, adopted with resolution of the Municipal Council no. 35 of 87/14/19 and approved with Decree of the President of the Mountain Community of the Lattari Mountains of the Sorrento Peninsula, no. 05 of 1999/1/1, in "Agricultural zone E16 on the edge of the urban agglomeration, subject to specific limitations on the exercise of agricultural activity due to the positional conditions of the soil"; c) in the Extract Plan for the Hydrogeological Structure of the Campania Sud Basin Authority and the interregional one for the Sele River Basin (formerly Destra Sele), adopted with resolution of the Institutional Committee no. 03 of 2006/3/11, in the Risk Map in the “High Risk Area R22” and in the Danger Map in the High Danger Area P1”.
The entire territory of the municipality of Agerola was deemed to be of notable public interest by DD.

The execution of demolitions of illegal buildings ordered by the Judicial Authority represents, for the protection of the territory, an irreplaceable instrument both in a repressive key, for the restoration of violated environmental conditions, and in a preventive key, for the dissuasive effectiveness against illegal building; in this case, a conviction relating to a sentence dating back to the year 1 was executed.
Thanks also to the incessant awareness-raising work carried out by this Office, the aforementioned demolition is the umpteenth that has taken place by the owner of the illegal building, under a self-demolition regime, without advance payment of expenses by the Municipality concerned and the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
