On Friday 6 October, at 18.30:XNUMX pm, the MAV/ Virtual Archaeological Museum of Ercolano will inaugurate, in its Space Gallery, an exhibition dedicated to Italo Calvino, as part of the initiatives to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the great Italian novelist, with the exhibition Memorie fluctuanti by Francesco Soranno, a showcase of photographic works that intertwine with Calvino's work and his novel Le città invisibili.
“The exhibition that we are inaugurating in the Museum Gallery - said Ciro Cacciola, Director of MAV - wants to be, at the same time, a tribute to one of the greatest Italian writers of the 900th century, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth, and a moment of reflection on the great questions of the new century. Calvino's words have often been anticipatory and have revealed to us a world that still could not be deciphered. Thanks to Francesco Soranno's photographs we will have the opportunity to evoke the greatness of Calvino's work.”
The exhibition will remain on the program from 6 to 21 October 2023 and can be visited, with free admission, from Tuesday to Sunday from 0 to 10.00.
