THEanticyclone African that has provided a long period of sunshine and temperatures higher than the seasonal average is about to give way to a cyclone coming from the Atlantic Ocean.
Article Key Points
Forecasts
Today and tomorrow the weather will still be stable, with mainly sunny skies and a warm and pleasant climate.
Starting from the weekend, the African anticyclone will begin to weaken and temperatures will begin to drop. Saturday will still be sunny, but with increased cloudiness across the North and occasional showers in the Alps.
The weather will worsen on Sunday in the Northeast, where thunderstorms will break out during the afternoon. At the same time, a cyclone will arrive from the Atlantic, causing an intense wave of bad weather.
Bad weather
The cyclone will be fed by cooler air and pushed by south-westerly winds. The combination of factors will cause both a collapse in temperatures and the arrival of rain.
From a thermal point of view, temperatures will undergo a significant decrease in the North starting from Monday 16th, with maximum values that will not rise above 16-17°C. The Center-South will also see a significant drop in maximum values, but from Tuesday 17th.
