Buonarroti 60 years of talents from the past to the future, Friday 6 October in Caserta

In Caserta, on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 18.30:19.30 pm to 60:XNUMX pm, an event will be held at the Michelangelo Museum, located in the "Buonarroti" Technical Institute, to celebrate the XNUMXth anniversary of the establishment of the "Buonarroti" Technical Institute.

In fact, on October 1, 1963, Buonarroti became autonomous by separation from the ITCG “Terra di Lavoro”. Incredibly, the official act was published in 1965 but the actual teaching and administrative activity began exactly 60 years ago.

For the school principal Vittoria De Lucia: The event is designed to share with the city the memory of colleagues and students who worked at Buonarroti. I proudly continue the efforts to meet and overcome present and future challenges, ensuring the education of young people capable of achieving full personal, professional, and social success, as in the past.

On the occasion of the anniversary, here are the first two moments designed to share the celebration with the territory and with the school community.

The meeting: Buonarroti: 60 Years of Talent from Past to Future will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, starting at 6:00 PM.

A small selection of Buonarroti students from 10, 20, 30, and more years ago, who have distinguished themselves in various professional and artistic fields, will share their stories and tell us about "their" Buonarroti. Speakers will include: Luigi Cafiero, architect; Giuseppe Cristiano, designer and creative; Amalia Gioia, architect officer for the ABAP Superintendency of Caserta and Benevento; Tiziana Petrillo, engineer; and Giuseppe Zizzari, general of the Italian Army. Other students and faculty from the past will also be present, briefly sharing their memories, which span and reconstruct 60 years of the city of Caserta.

At the end of the meeting in the exhibition space of the Michelangelo Museum, the photographic exhibition Buonarroti 60 years of memories / Women and men of Buonarroti in the photographs of their time, curated by the Michelangelo Museum, will be inaugurated. Of particular interest are the photographs of the reliefs of the monuments of the territory made by students and teachers in the years 1968 – 1973 approximately. The exhibition will remain open to visitors free of charge during the opening hours of the Museum until January 6, 2024.
