Caserta, street vendor steals electricity for his sandwich shop: reported

He was discovered and reported at large for electricity theft.

The 38-year-old businessman was surprised late this morning by the Carabinieri of the Arienzo Station while, with his van used as a sandwich shop, he was parked in Vigliotti Park, in the immediate vicinity of the headquarters of the Arienzo Pro-Loco.

The man, as ascertained by the military of the Arma during the targeted checks, had connected with a cable and without any authorization the electrical system of his itinerant commercial activity to the Enel meter of the pro-loco.

Please note that the utility in question is the responsibility of the municipal body that pays the bill.

The man was subsequently reported for fraudulently withdrawing electricity. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the same practice has occurred in other municipalities.
