Intercepted while driving an Opel Astra that had been robbed a few hours earlier in the municipality of Lusciano, in the province of Caserta, by a man armed with a gun and with his face covered, he did not stop at the checkpoint and to ensure his escape he violently rammed the carabinieri car.
However, his journey ended a few meters later when he lost control of the vehicle which overturned in the surrounding countryside.

The robber is now under house arrest
The perpetrator of the daring accident is a 42-year-old from Crispano who, extracted unharmed from the car, was immediately stopped and arrested. Taken under house arrest, at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, he will have to answer for receiving stolen goods, resisting a public official and damaging military property.
The car recovered by the military of the Arma has been subjected to criminal seizure. Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Teverola Station.
