Casoria. No-confidence vote against the President of the Cemetery Consortium Giuseppe Salzano: five resign. It is the second time in a few months that the former councilor of the Sollo council has been kicked out.
Now the word goes to the mayors for the designation of the new president and councilors. A political career, if that is what we can call Salzano's, that is interrupted prematurely. It was time to give the go-ahead, the consortium representatives Pietrantonio, Sepe, Bianco, Galiero and D'Auria, who have filed for the attention of the Consortium Assembly composed of the Mayors of the Municipality of Casoria Raffaele Bene, of Arzano Cinzia Aruta and Casavatore Luigi Maglione, their irrevocable resignations from the position of councilors of the Cemetery between the municipalities of Arzano, Casoria and Casavatore.
The members of the Board of Directors, "after long and thoughtful consideration," it reads, "considering the serious impasse in correctly, loyally, and competently exercising the functions assigned by statute to the consortium board, deprived of the opportunity to govern democratically through the necessary political-administrative discussions and debates in the best interests of the users and the consortium member municipalities.
Furthermore, given that certain items on the agenda are never discussed or reiterated at subsequent meetings, despite strangely receiving attention from minority members of a municipality's council, the same applies to the content of the agenda, which was never democratically composed through dialogue on shared arguments but was instead chosen authoritatively, trampling on the statutory principles regarding the responsibilities of the consortium council.

That these circumstances have repeatedly given rise to misunderstandings, friction, and discontent, undermining the serenity of judgment and choice, especially with regard to the texts of already-formulated provisions, in contempt of the democratic principles of evaluation, reserved for the consortium council body."
"Therefore," the letter concludes, "in thanking the Mayors of the Consortium Municipalities for their trust in us, with the honor of representing the interests of the body to which they belong, and with regret and sincere respect for the institutions, for the considerations expressed, and for the provisions of Article 14 of the Statute regarding the termination of the Council, they tender their irrevocable resignations from their positions as Consortium Councilors, effective immediately."
It is the second time in a few months that Salzano, nicknamed the "sheriff" for his activities all started but never concluded, has been distrusted. In fact, just several months ago the consortium councilors of Casoria Michele Bruno, Angelo Russo and Nunzio Sepe filed a fiery note (then sent to the mayors and the council) in which they stigmatized the unorthodox behavior of Salzano who, in addition to being little inclined to share the agenda and having transformed the cemetery into a joint stock company, would have attempted to interfere in the management of the same entity. In short, a bitter fate for Salzano who even with the former mayor Solo was distrusted as councilor.
