Carolina di Pangrazio, 40 years old, involved in the motorbike accident which occurred on Saturday morning on the ring road to Castellammare di Stabia.
She is admitted to intensive care at the Ospedale del Mare in Naples in very serious condition.
Her husband, Paolo Balli, a 59-year-old dental technician, died in the crash. The couple were traveling in a BMW toward the Sorrento Peninsula when the vehicle skidded. Balli was killed in the collision with an oncoming car. His wife ended up on the asphalt and was transported to hospital in serious condition.
The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, but initial findings suggest the Roman couple's motorcycle swerved, likely due to a sudden maneuver by a car in front.
