In his recent thesis, "Criminal Fascination," Catello Romano, a member of the commando responsible for the murder of Gino Tommasino, made shocking revelations about his youthful criminal life.

In this thesis, Romano confessed to two other murders for which he had not yet been tried, shedding new light on the horrors of his past in the world of the Camorra of Castellammare di Stabia.

And it is for this reason that the magistrates of the Naples DDA have decided to acquire the thesis which will be published only next month. It is evident that they want to collect new evidence on two Cold Cases of camorra.

His document, which reads more like a crime novel than an academic thesis, offers a rare glimpse into the mind of a repentant criminal.

Romano explained that his interest in the world of crime was sparked after seeing the film "Il Camorrista," which tells the criminal story of Raffaele Cutolo, the infamous boss of the new organized Camorra that terrorized Campania in the 80s.

Romano, now thirty-three, spent 14 years behind bars, during which he committed numerous Camorra crimes. He revealed disturbing details about two previously unconfessed murders. The first concerns the double homicide of mafia boss Carmine D'Antuono and the innocent Federico Donnarumma, which occurred on October 28, 2008.

Romano described this event as the most violent, traumatic, and irreversible of his life, especially because Donnarumma, an innocent victim, shouldn't have died. Romano expressed confusion about his actions, admitting he still doesn't understand why he committed such a terrible act.

The other murder Romano confessed to involved Nunzio Mascolo, known as 'O Brisc, which also occurred in 2008, the year the D'Alessandro clan decided to eliminate its old guard. In a chilling account, Romano revealed that he even involved his sister, without her knowledge, in a plan to plan and carry out the ambush.

These new revelations shed light on a dark past and highlight the profound change that Romano has undergone over the years, going from a ruthless criminal to a repentant individual who is trying to face the truth of his past.
