The director of the Elsa Morante Prize Tiuna Notarbartolo and the director of the Rai Production Center of Naples Antonio Parlati interview Dacia Maraini as part of the Campania Libri Festival.
Naples. The last great guest of the director of the Elsa Morante Prize Tiuna Notarbartolo and the director of the Rai Production Center of Naples Antonio Parlati will be the Nobel candidate Dacia Maraini, the writer symbol of twentieth-century Italian literature. Maraini will present one of her latest books "Ti Parlo, mi ascolti?" on Sunday 8 October at 16,00:XNUMX pm, at the Teatrino di Corte of the Royal Palace of Naples, as part of the Campania Libri Festival. Published by Giannini Editore, the book is a beautiful collection of three theatrical plays and contains a very interesting interview by Eugenio Murrali with the famous writer, her curator of the Meridiano Mondadori. The cover is embellished with a portrait of Maraini created by the very talented Sicilian artist Giuseppe Notarbartolo. The protagonists are three women, who live in different eras and with very different life stories but with one common aspect: the desperate need to be heard by the world. Rosa is a provincial painter, whose personal story unfolds between the desire to be recognized and the disappointment of not receiving attention, except the morbid attention of a petty critic, whose judgment will weigh on her for a long time. Giulia is a wonderful girl, who died under the rubble caused by the earthquake in L'Aquila. Her figure emerges lightly between the present, in which she is no longer, and the past of an adolescent, full of enthusiasm and joy, a dancing figure among the affections of her parents and friends, an astonished ghost who peeps out between what could have been and what is swallowed up by the annihilated pain of nothingness. And finally Errichetta, the courageous wife of Carlo Pisacane, hero and dreamer, patriot of a non-existent homeland. Errichetta is a figure strongly aware of the weight and honor of being a woman, capable of making very difficult choices but paid for dearly.
During the presentation, there will be a performance by the theater workshop of the Giannone High School in Caserta, led by teachers Borrelli and Casella.
