Two people, aged 49 and 55, considered serious suspects in the murder and destruction of the body of Vincenzo Iannone, the 47-year-old drug dealer found charred in his car on July 16 in the hilly area of Marano di Napoli, have been arrested by the Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna.

The Naples DDA charges the 49-year-old (defended by lawyer Giovanna Cacciapuoti) with the murder of the drug dealer and the destruction of his body, while the 55-year-old is charged only with the latter crime.

Furthermore, both suspects are accused of having acted in a mafia-like manner and, at the moment, it does not appear that they are linked to the Camorra.

According to investigations, Iannone was killed between July 15th and 16th—with stab wounds and a blunt object—at the height of an argument that broke out over an unpaid drug shipment.

Evidence also found thanks to video surveillance

With the help of the 55-year-old, according to the prosecution, the 49-year-old then set fire to the car, where the man's charred body was later found. In the car, officers also found and seized a billhook and pliers.

Important evidence of his involvement in the serious crime was found by the Carabinieri at the 49-year-old's home and through an analysis of the area's video surveillance systems.
